Champa Devi Hill, at an altitude of 2278 m/ 7473 ft named after the temple Champa Devi dedicated to Hindu Goddess, offers one of the best short hiking trails and finest view point nearby Kathmandu. This serene hilltop grants magnificent view of the Himalayas including Annapurna massif, Ganesh Himal Range, Langtang Range, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishanker and others. Moreover, stunning bird-eye view of Kathmandu valley with monuments is enchanting. This hill is the third highest peak that surrounds Kathmandu Valley. Two highest peaks of surrounding Kathmandu viz. Fulchoki and Chandragiri lie on the south-east and north-west directions respectively from Champa Devi Hill.
We, Mountain Delight Travels and Tours, organize Champa Devi Hill Day Hiking with our professional Guide, comfortable transport, and unparalleled management. We come to your Hotel/place of residence to pick you up for a drive to Pharping, starting point of the hike. And from here, you will walk with our Guide and Porter if required. In the later afternoon, hike back to Pharping and then drive back to your place. Alternatively, you can add either Dakshinkali, a temple dedicated to Hindu Goddess, or Kirtipur town with this hike.

Our Guide will pick you up at the Hotel/or place where you stay (Extra charge may occur if pick up point is out of range of our common service). And, drive to Hattiban which is about an hour and half.
This easy and pleasant hike – that starts with driving to Pharping village/Hattiban, situated some 19 km south west of Kathmandu – takes about 3 hours hike uphill, mostly on the ridge that offers stunning view of the Valley and Himalayas. At the top Champa Devi temple and a Buddhist Stupa is located. Enjoy the views, peace, nature, packed lunch, and then return back for the drive back to your Hotel.
It takes approximately 2.30 to 3 hours to reach to the top where Stupa is located. You can further explore to nearby hill (please consult with us before you embark on a tour).
You will have pack lunch for the day that our Guide will have for you. Enjoy the majestic view of the Himalayas, lush green forest, and stunning view of the Valley from the top.
Descend to Hattiban and then drive back.
Our guide will drop you at your Hotel or place of your residence.
Note: There are some alternate routes to ascend and descend if you want to make the day longer. On the way back you can stop by the Monastery or a resort to make the trip night stay tour. Please, write us if you want add on.
