Hindu Pilgrimage Tour in Nepal is a popular journey among the Hindu devotees and researchers which is full of spiritual and cultural wonders. Nepal is considered as purest Hindu land carrying over the ancient Hindu religion and sects. With more than 75% of the population following Hinduism, Nepal was one and only the Hindu nation in the world before the year 2008. According to Hindu scriptures and holy books, Nepal is a holy place where Lord Brahma (the Creator), Lord Vishnu (the preserver) and Lord Shiva (the destroyer) has been here and meditated. Nepal is a birthplace of many Gods and Goddesses and still preserves pure Hindu culture to this day along with other many religions.
Kathmandu
Our Airport Representative will greet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels. After check-in and some rest, you will be taken to the main touristic hub in the city for a short introduction tour. Your trip guide will briefly give information about your trip in the evening.

Today after breakfast you will be visiting some of the major Hindu Pilgrimage Sites in Kathmandu Valley. They are:
Pashupatinath Temple, the most famous and sacred Hindu Pilgrimage site located 5km north-east of the valley on the bank of Bagmati River. The temple is the largest temple complex in Nepal which was built in the 5th century in the Nepali Pagoda style. Pashupatinath is one of the four most important pilgrimage sites in Asia for devotees of Lord Shiva.
Budhanilkhantha Temple is one of the most revered shrines of Lord Vishnu in the valley. Sculptured in the 5th century, it is located in the northernmost part of the valley where the largest stone statue of Lord Vishnu in Nepal is shown reclining on the bed of Nagas in the middle of a small pond.
Dakshinkali Temple is one of the important Hindu sites 22 km away from Kathmandu Valley. The temple is positioned at a confluence of two sacred streams in a stony cleft inside the woods. Dakshinkali is dedicated to goddess Kali, the most bloodthirsty reincarnation of Parvati. Animals are dragged by the pilgrims to be beheaded to satisfy the blood-yearn of the goddess.
By the evening, you will return back to your hotel and relax.

Driving Duration: 7 hours
Today you will visit Kal Bhairav, located in Kathmandu Durbar Square in the religious complex of Hanuman Dhoka. The idol and surrounding structures are made of stone believed to be carved in the 5th century and were discovered in the 17th century by King Pratap Malla in the paddy field. Kal Bhiarav is the petrifying incarnation of Lord Shiva and the idol can be seen standing over a dead body carrying a beheaded head in one hand.
After sightseeing, you will drive to Pokhara for further sightseeing. Pokhara is the second-largest city in Nepal and is renowned for its natural beauties. However, the place also holds many cultural heritage sites which are sacred pilgrimages sites for Hindu devotees.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your respective hotel. You may stroll through the streets of city or have some chilling time in lakeside.

Driving Duration: 2-3 hours back and forth
Early morning, transfer to Pokhara airport and board on a plane flying to Jomsom, above the Pokhara valley along with a majestic areal vista of Mount Dhaulagiri and beyond. Upon arrival, you will take a short walk to the Jeep station and start your Muktinath journey. After 30 minutes of the drive, you will stop at Kagbeni, situated at the confluence of two rivers where you will perform pooja for your ancestors or dead member of your family. After a short break, you will continue your drive until you reach the bus station. From there you will walk for 25 minutes or you can rent a bike to reach Muktinath Temple.
Muktinath Temple is the holiest of holy perched at the highest elevation which is a symbol of significance for both Hinduism and Buddhism. Once you reach the premises, you finish your Muktinath Darshan and take some pictures. Interested can take a bath to 180 waterspouts, Pap Kunda and Dharma Kunda. There is a belief that if you take a bath there, your sins will be forgiven. You will also visit Jwalamai temple and some of the attractions of the area and head back to Jomsom by jeep for an overnight stay.

Enjoy your breakfast in Jomsom and transfer to the airport to catch a flight to Pokhara. You will visit some of the major Hindu pilgrimage sites in Pokhara.
Tal Barahi Temple is also known as Varahi Temple or Lake Temple dedicated to Goddess Varahi, an avatar of Goddess Durga. The temple is located at a small island on Phewa Lake is a sacred pilgrimage site for both Buddhism and Hinduism.
Shree Bindyhabashini Temple is the oldest temple in Pokhra at a top of the small hill. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. The idol of the Goddess is said to be brought from Binshyachal in India by King Siddhi Narayan Shah.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple is a cave temple devoted to Lord Shiva located near the spot where Seti River emerges from underground. The cave is 3 kilometers long and a self-emerging Shiva Lingam was found in the cave in the 16th century.

Driving Duration: 7 hours
After breakfast, you will get ready to drive back to Kathmandu. 3 hours of non-stop drive will take you to Kurintar, where you will be taking a break to visit Manakamana Temple.
Manakamana Temple was built in the 17th century in pagoda style surrounded by the hills covered in Magnolia and birch trees revered to goddess Bhagawati, one of the reincarnations of goddess Parvati. The word Mana and kamana is a literal translation of heart and wish respectively. Hence, there is a belief that the goddess grants the wishes of those pilgrims who worship her in her shrine.
You will go for 15 minutes cable ride over the hills to reach the temple. After praying the goddess or finishing the pooja, you will ride back to the station via cable car. Enjoy your lunch at one of the restaurants over there and drive to Kathmandu.
