Honey Hunting Tour in Nepal is one of the unique and adventurous tours. Honey hunting has been a tradition since ancient age in the hilly and Himalayan regions where honey hunters harvest the honeycombs by hanging themselves using bamboo ladders and hemp ropes at 300 ft high cliffs. This rare tour gives you the opportunity to observe this tradition along with a stunning scenario during the trekking hours. This 8 days package will give you different insights about Nepal making you appreciate the landscapes, culture, and tradition of different sides of Nepal.
Kathmandu
Our Airport Representative will greet you in Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels. Your trip guide will briefly give information about your trip in the evening.

The tour begins today after your breakfast in the hotel. You will be visiting three world heritage sites today. And they are:
Pashupatinath Temple, the most important Hindu Pilgrimage is a temple constructed in the 17th century and has been unchanged since then. Non-Hindu visitors are unacceptable in the main temple but can observe the scenes from across the river.
Boudhanath Stupa is your next stop. The stupa is one of the biggest stupas in South Asia and was built in the 5th century which reflects Tibetan Buddhism. Many small gompas and monasteries are also built-in Tibetan style. The area is an authentic place to purchase Tibetan Stuffs.
Swoyambhunath Stupa will be your last destination for today. Popular as “Monkey temple” among tourists is indeed a great and famous attraction of the valley. The stupa is one of the ancient stupas of the valley where the worshippers are diverse from Newar nuns, Tibetan monks to Brahmin priests. Situated at the top of the hill, it offers you an incredible view of the valley.

Driving Duration: 7 hours
Today you will have a scenic drive for nearly 7 hours from Kathmandu to Khudi. Driving along Prithvi Highway across different villages, hills, mountains, encounters with local people, and vast landscapes will give you a new experience. Later in the evening, you will be attending a cultural program conducted by the Gurung community.

After having local breakfast at the lodge, you will trek towards honey hunting site for 6-7 hours. On the way, you will get a good view of natural beauties and this trek will get you closer to nature. Locals will heartily welcome you once you reach there on the site.

After breakfast, you will have a short walk to honey hunting site. You will get to observe the program where the hunter will pray before hunting. You will be stunned by the hunters, the way they hunt in the thrilling cliff. Your day will pass by observing the program. Later, in the night, you will attend a cultural program where Gurung people will perform their cultural dances.

Trekking Duration: 7 hours
Bid farewell to honey hunting site and the locals after breakfast and retrace your path back to Khudi. You can enjoy swimming in the natural stream on the way. After 7 hours, you will reach the destination and relax. Take a walk on the bank of Marshyangdi and Khudi Stream in the evening.

Driving Duration: 7 hours
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu. 7 hours of the long and tiring drive with new and refreshing views across roads through Prithvi Highway will give you mixed feelings. You will be invited to a farewell dinner this evening.

You will be transferred to the airport for your onward destination as per your flight schedule.
