This 15-day tour offers you to explore the beauty of culture and tradition of the three different Himalayan Kingdom namely Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. Starting off the journey from the Kathmandu Valley also known as the “real” Nepal will give the visitors different insight about Nepali culture and tradition. Flying over the mighty peaks and the changing landscape forms gives you a new experience. You will get to look into Tibetan Buddhism closely in the roof of the world, Tibet.  Trip to Bhutan; the last Shangrila in South Asia will give you different and new perceptions towards the essence of life as they focus more on Gross National Happiness than Gross National Profit. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Day

Our Airport Representative will greet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels. After check-in and some rest, you will be taken to the main touristic hub in the city for a short introduction tour. Your trip guide will briefly give information about your trip in the evening.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing & drive to Nagarkot

The tour begins today after your breakfast in the hotel. You will be visiting two world heritage sites in the valley today. Pashupatinath Temple, the most important Hindu Pilgrimage is a temple constructed in the 17th century and has been unchanged since then. Non-Hindu visitors are unacceptable in the main temple but can observe the scenes from across the river. 

Boudhanath Stupa is your next stop. The stupa is one of the biggest stupas in South Asia and was built in the 5th century which reflects Tibetan Buddhism. Many small gompas and monasteries are also built-in Tibetan style. The area is an authentic place to purchase Tibetan Stuffs.

Later, after lunch, you will be taken to one of the medieval towns Kathmandu valley, Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal famous for its unique handicrafts, medieval era temples, and structures. The area is also covered with great varieties of unique handmade designs. The Palace of 55 Windows, Nyatapol Temple, Golden Gate, and Bhairavnath Temple are the major attractions of the Durbar Square. 

Later drive to Nagarkot, a famous hill-station/village renowned for its gorgeous sunrise and sunset including the panoramic vista of the Himalayan peaks. Check-in at the hotel and observe the stunning sunset from your hotel or tower.

Day 03:Fly to Paro (2250m), Paro sightseeing

Driving Duration: 1.5 hours 

Start off your day with a stunning sunrise over the Himalayas and drive back to Kathmandu and go for sightseeing in Patan Durbar Square where Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple, Museum, and Ashok Pilar are the major attractions. After lunch, you will visit another World Heritage Site in the valley called Kathmandu Durbar Square which is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square. It is a historical palace of Nepal Kumari (Living Goddess of Nepal) Temple, Kastamandap can be observed. You can take a walk to Asan bazaar and Indrachowck; some of the oldest markets with authentic architecture and ancient houses.

Day 04:Drive to Pokhara

Driving Duration: 6 Hours 

Today, right after your breakfast, you will drive to the second largest city in Nepal, Pokhara. On the route to Pokhara, you will stop by Kurintar and take a cable ride to Manakamana Temple (temple of wish fulfilling goddess). After praying you will ride down back via cable car and continue your drive towards Pokhara. Driving via Prithivi Highway along beautiful hills, small town and villages, rivers and jungles will take you to one of the top tourist destinations of Nepal. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the hotel and take rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the streets or by lakeside.

Day 05:Sightseeing in Pokhara

Driving Duration: 30 minutes

Very early in the morning, you will drive for 30 minutes to reach Sarangkot, where you will observe stunning sunrise. Sarangkot is a famous viewpoint for sunrise and sunset along with a panoramic view of Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m). After breakfast in your hotel, you will proceed to explore Gorkha Museum where mountains, it’s people and the environment are displayed. 

You will visit the top attractions of Pokhara such as Devis Fall, Gupteshowr Cave, and Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pogoda). Built by a Japanese monk in Japanese style, it is ranked as the top 2 attractions of the city providing you a panoramic view of Annapurna ranges, Fewa Lake, and Pokhara city. Boating in beautiful Fewa Lake will give you an amazing view of the hills, mountains, and Sarangkot. Later, in the leisure time, you can take a walk on the lakeside.

Day 06:Drive to Kathmandu

Driving Duration: 6 hours 

After breakfast, you will leave for Kathmandu. A scenic drive through Prithvi Highway will take you to Kathmandu by late afternoon. Upon arrival, check-in and relax. In the evening, you can stroll around the streets of Thamel.

Day 07:Fly to Lhasa (3660m)

Flying Duration: 1 hour 35 minutes 

Your tour to Lhasa starts with an amazing flight from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Gongga International Airport in Lhasa; considered as one of the most beautiful air routes in the world over the giant and astounding mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga, and many others. If you are interested to travel via Mainland China, plenty of flight options are available along with the world’s highest train route to Lhasa. Once you reach the airport/train station, you will be greeted by your guide for the Lhasa tour and you will be transferred to your respective hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to acclimatize yourself to Lhasa altitude and explore some local areas.

Day 08:Lhasa Sightseeing

Today you will be visiting some of the top attractions in Lhasa city.  You will firstly visit one of the famous monasteries in Lhasa, Sera Monastery which is popular for an amazing “Buddhism Debating” and also called the monastery of wild roses. Norbulingka Monastery will be your next destination. The monastery was a former summer palace of Dalai Lama with 374 rooms in the ancient period which is now turned into a public park called “Jeweled Park”. Giving continuation to your exploration, Jokhang Temple will be your today’s last visiting place. Jokhang Temple is one of the sacred shrines in Lhasa for Tibetan Buddhism which is also known as the House of Buddha. You will also stroll around Barkor Street which encircles Jokhang temple and famous for traditional Tibetan goods, religious items and handicrafts.

Day 09:Further Lhasa Exploration

Right after your breakfast, you will start your exploration activity from Potala Palace; the home to the successive Dalai Lama as well as an impressive masterpiece of architecture. The palace is known to be in existence since the 4th/5th century but the current form of the palace is said to be founded in the 17th century. The next sightseeing spot is Drepung Monastery which was established in the 14th century. Since establishment, the monastery has always been one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Tibet with more than 10,000 monks living and studying in its glory days. Some of the well known and important Tibetan leaders including Dalai Lama used to study here. The monastery is also called “Mother School of Dalai Lamas” and a panoramic vista of Lhasa can be observed from here.

Day 10: Fly back to Kathmandu

Flying Duration: 1 hour 35 minutes

Your tour to Lhasa finally ends here. After breakfast at the hotel in Lhasa for the last time, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 11: Fly to Paro

Flying Duration: 1 hour  

Your flight to Bhutan will be amazing as your plane flies over the Himalayan peaks including the sacred Chomolhari and Jichu Drake peaks in Bhutan. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After relaxing for a short period of time and lunch, you will begin your sightseeing in Paro by visiting the National Museum called Ta Dzong; once a traditional watchtower. Next, you will visit the oldest temple in the country, Kichu Lakhang.

Day 12: Paro sightseeing & drive to Thimpu (2320m)

Driving Duration: 1 hour 

Morning breakfast and you will hike for around 4-5 hours to the famous monastery of Bhutan Takstang Monastery which is also called Tiger’s Nest Monastery situated at the elevation of 3180 meters. The monastery hangs on the edge of a steep cliff which is 900 meters above the Paro Valley. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche (the second Buddha) flew on the back of tigress and meditated for years where the monastery is built. A cafeteria restaurant situated in the halfway of the mountain is one of the highlights of the monastery. After lunch in the cafeteria, you will hike down to Paro and leave for the capital, Thimpu.

Day 13: Thimpu Sightseeing

Early morning breakfast and you will visit the Memorial Chorten; built in the memory of the third Bhutanese King. Afterward, you will visit top tourist attractions in Thimpu such as the National Library which houses ancient manuscripts, the nunnery temple, and the school of arts and crafts. After lunch, you may visit the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Handicraft Emporium, the Textile Museum, and the traditional paper factory.  In the evening, you may take a walk to the streets of the surroundings and have a look at the lifestyle of the locals.

Day 14: Drive back to Paro

Driving Duration: 1 hour 

Today, you will drive to the radio tower and hike for an hour to the Wangditse Monastery which offers an amazing view of Tashichho Dzong and Samtenling Palace. You may encounter the national animal of Bhutan called Takin on the way to the monastery. After exploration of the place, you will hike down to Thimpu and board on a vehicle leaving for Paro. Upon arrival, check-in and explore the village in Paro and the lifestyle of the locals.

Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu

Morning breakfast and you will transfer to Paro International Airport. 1 hour of a scenic flight over the Himalayan peaks, different landscapes will take to the Trivuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 16: Departure Day

You will be transferred to the airport for your onward destination by a representative from our company 3 hours prior as per your flight schedule.
