Lumbini is one of the holiest pilgrimages in Nepal attracting Buddhist pilgrims from around the world. “The Light of Asia” or “The Enlightened One”, Gautama Buddha was born as Siddhartha Gautama who later became the founder of the world religion of Buddhism. Lumbini Darshan Tour is designed to help you gain insights of Lord Buddha and his early life virtually. Along with sightseeing in the Lumbini area, you will be given a lot of information about the arts and architecture of the Kathmandu valley.

Our Airport Representative will greet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels. After check-in and some rest, you will be taken to the main touristic hub in the city for a short introduction tour. Your trip guide will briefly give information about your trip in the evening.

The tour begins today after your breakfast in the hotel. You will be visiting to three world heritage sites today. And they are:
Pashupatinath Temple, the most important Hindu Pilgrimage is a temple constructed in 17th century and has been unchanged since then. Non-Hindu visitors are unacceptable in the main temple but can observe the scenes from across the river.
Boudhanath Stupa is your next stop. The stupa is one of the biggest stupas in South Asia and was built in 5th century which reflects Tibetan Buddhism. Many small gompas and monasteries are also built in Tibetan style. The area is an authentic place to purchase Tibetan Stuffs.

Driving Duration: 8 hours
Soon after morning breakfast, begin your journey by driving along the roads of Kathmandu to Prithvi Highway. Catch up East West Highway along the scenery of different forms of landscapes, small villages and vegetation. Arrive Lumbini by late afternoon and check-in at the hotel and relax for the rest of your time.

Today is an eventful day as you will be visiting the places that signify first 29 years of the Light of Asia, Gautam Buddha. Lumbini is one of the World Heritages Sites with numerous monasteries built by different nations. You will pay visit to main attractions such as Mayadevi Temple; Lord Buddha’s bithplace, Puskarini Pond; a pond where Mayadevi took her holy bath before giving birth to Buddha, Ashoka Pillar, Myanmar monastery and Lumbini museum today. If time permits, you will visit other monasteries and Tilaurakot Palace, where Lord Buddha had spent his first 29 years of his life as a Prince.

Leave behind Lumbini to get back to the capital after your breakfast. Along with picturesque view of the hills, mountains, villages, and rivers you will enter into the busy and crowded Kathmandu via two highways. Have a relaxing night after checking in at the hotel.

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the popular Durbar Squares also known as Hanuman Dhoka which lies in the center of the city. You will be appreciating the art and architecture once you reach Kathmandu Durbar Square. Visiting the temple of Living Goddess “Kumari” will be a unique experience for you.
