Phulchowki (2782m) is the highest hill among the surrounding hills, located 14 kilometers southeast of the Kathmandu Valley. The literal translation of Phulchowki in Nepali is “the garden of flowers” and the hill houses about 570 species of flowering plants. Renowned as one of the most beautiful hiking destinations in terms of vegetation in the valley, it is also a popular destination for bird watching as more than 280 bird species has been recorded here.
Phulchowki Hiking Tour is a day hiking to one of the popular hiking destinations in Nepal offering you rich wildlife with pristine environment and splendid vistas of the Himalayan ranges, namely Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal and Gaurishankar as well as stunning views of Kathmandu Valley. Surrounded by dense oak forest, the trail to the top is amazingly beautiful covered with different colors of Rhododendron in spring season. Another special thing about this hill is that it is the only spot to experience snowfall in winter around Kathmandu valley.

After early breakfast, you will drive to Godavari Botanical Garden which lies 14 km southeast of Kathmandu. Upon entering the garden, you will start your hiking going through subtropical thick enriched with flowers and different species of birds. After spending an ample amount of time in the top hill, you will descend down retracing the trail to the Godavari. You will be driven back to Kathmandu by the evening.
