Rafting and Kayaking in Bhote Koshi River is comparatively adventurous and challenging for whitewater adventure. Easily accessed from Kathmandu Valley, Bhote Koshi, which originates from the melting snows of Zhangzanbo Glacier (8,012m) in Tibet is the main branch of Sun Koshi. Bhote Koshi River is mostly chosen by the experienced rafters/kayakers and adventure enthusiasts as the river is truly rewarding full of exciting gorges between the mountain valleys.  The bounces and rapids are relatively huge and challenging which makes the trip more adventurous.

Bhotekoshi River is the steepest rafted river in Nepal and rafting on this river certainly has become the most adventurous and exciting rafting experience.  Suitable throughout the year, rafting in Bhotekoshi River is more fun and exciting in the days of September and October and it is also the best time to gain the experience of rafting.

Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Khadichour

Driving Duration: 3 hours

After meeting at our office in the morning, you will be driven to Khadichour, the put in point for Bhotekoshi Rafting. The professional guides will give you the information and will provide a lesson on river safety, some important recue tips and padding techniques. Shortly after, you will enter into the river with the guides and start your rafting journey. You will hit continuous rapids of class 3. After continuous rafting and kayaking cover around 16 kilometers, you will stop at a river bank and set your camps.

You can return back to Kathmandu if you choose to leave.

Accommodation: Tented Camp

Day 02: Raft to Sukute Beach & drive back to Kathmandu

Driving Duration: 3.5 hours

The final day of rafting expedition begins with a fresh breakfast. After the first meal, you will drive to second put in point, Jambu. Today, you will be facing many challenges as you will hit many rapids of class 3 and class 4+. After hitting some major rapids like Liquid Bliss, Fake Right Go Left and Golden Gate, you will reach your put out point, Sukute Beach. You will be served a nice and warm lunch in the resort. Shortly after the lunch, you will drive back to the Kathmandu Valley.
