Kathmandu

Early morning, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for the flight to Bhadrapur. Upon arrival in Bhadrapur Airport, you will be escorted to the Eastern Border town of Nepal, Kakarivitta. After completion of border formalities, you will drive to Darjeeling.

Today, early in the morning, you will pay a visit to Tiger Hill to get a glimpse of the gorgeous sunrise over magnificent Mount Kanchenjunga (world’s third highest mountain). Pay a visit to Ghoom Monastery on your way back to hotel. After breakfast, you will be escorted for sightseeing around Darjeeling. You will be visiting some of the top attractions namely, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee Help Center, Observatory Hill, Mountaineering Institute, Peace Pagoda, Tea Garden, and Tea Factory. By the evening, you will be back to your hotel.

Drive Duration: 4-5 hours
After morning breakfast, leaving Darjeeling behind you will drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. You will halt at Rangpoo for lunch and Sikkim Permit. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax.

Today, you will visit Tashi View Point, a resting shed 8km away from Gangtok early in the morning which offers an astounding view of Kanchenjunga and the Siniolchu Range. Sikkim Monasteries along the North Sikkim Highway are also visible from this viewpoint. Then, you will go back to the hotel for breakfast and proceed to another sightseeing spot, Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms. Further, you will visit the Research Institute of Tibetology which was built in 1958 to endorse the Tibetan language and culture as well as Mahayana Buddhism. You will also visit Rumtek monastery, Orchid Sanctuary with 454 species of Orchids, Deer Park, and Do-Drul Chorten built-in 1946 positioned on a hillock. You can walk around Gangtok Market in the evening.

After breakfast in the morning, you will drive 80 km from Gangtok to Kalimpong, a city known for its educational institutions established by the British. The city used to be a gateway in the trade between Bhutan and India and Tibet and India. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax.

Today, after breakfast, you will visit some of the Tibetan Buddhism Monasteries such as Tharpa choling Gompa, Durpin Monastery. You will stop by other attractions such as Dello View Point, Flower Nursery, Forest Museum, and Dr. Graham Homes School. Return back to your hotel by the evening.
