Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Day

Our Airport Representative will greet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels. After check-in and some rest, you will be taken to the main touristic hub in the city for a short introduction tour. Your trip guide will briefly give information about your trip in the evening.

Overnight at the hotel. 

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

After breakfast, your tour begins with sightseeing around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites inside the capital. The first sightseeing destination will be Pashupatinath Temple, the most famous and sacred Hindu Pilgrimage site located 5km north-east of the valley on the bank of Bagmati River. Then, you will drive to Boudhanath Stupa which is situated 8km to the east of downtown Kathmandu Valley. The stupa is the biggest monastery in Nepal and is one of the biggest in the World and is visible as soon as you land at the airport. Kathmandu Durbar Square will be your next sightseeing spot. It is one of the popular Durbar Squares also known as Hanuman Dhoka which lies in the center of the city. Lastly, you will drive to Swayabhunath Stupa positioned on a hillock 3 kilometers west of the valley. It is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage sited in Nepal. The panoramic view of the valley can be observed from the stupa. After completing sightseeing in these areas, you will head back to your hotel and relax.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara

Driving Duration: 6-7 hours (200km)

Early morning breakfast and you will head towards Pokhara leaving behind the capital city. The journey via Prithivi Highway is quite scenic full of farming terraces and charming villages connected by suspension bridges. The road follows along the banks of great Trishuli River until Mugling. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, you can stroll around the streets of the city and enjoy yourself.

Day 04:Drive to Tatopani (2600m)

Driving Duration: 5-6 hours 

Today, you will drive from Pokhara to Tatopani via Beni Bazaar after your breakfast. You will pass through the settlements of Kusma and Baglung finally to Beni. Following the banks of the Kali Gandaki, west towards Beni, the off-road trip starts from here. After a thrilling drive through the rocky trail, you will reach Tatopani. Tatopani is renowned for its natural hot spring and some local activities.

Day 05: Drive to Kagbeni (2900m)

Driving Duration: 5-6 hours 

Early in the morning, leaving behind Tatopani, you will head towards Kagbeni through the banks of Kali Gandaki River and Kali Gandaki canyon (the deepest gorge in the world). Continuing your drive will take you through the settlements of Ghasa and Tukuche in Marpha. Further, your drive will pass through a vast settlement in the Mustang Region, Jomsom. The picturesque deserted mountains can be seen once you reach Jomsom. Another 2 hours of driving from here will take you to the settlement of Kagbeni.

Day 06:Drive to Gheling (3510m)

You will have a short exploration moment of Kagbeni in the morning. After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Upper Mustang. After completion of permit checking, you will drive passing the Kali Gandaki River in Chhusang Village. You will continue this exciting drive until you get the glimpses of the awe-inspiring landscapes of Samar Village and further to Syangboche La and Bhina. Continue the drive until you reach Ghilling for overnight.

Day 07: Drive to Tsarang (3570m)

After having breakfast in Gheling, you will drive towards Tsarang. Tsarang is also known as Charang and it is one of the culturally and historically important villages in Upper Mustang with ancient stupas, palace and monasteries with fresco. You will pass through Lo Pass and cross the Ghami River. The settlements of Ny La, Ghami La and Chinggel fall en route to Tsarang. After few hours of drive full of scenic background, you will finally reach Tsarang.

Day 08: Drive to Lo Manthang (3840m)

Today, you will head towards the capital of Upper Mustang, Lo Manthang. The track to Lo Manthang from Tsarang offers you an excellent view of some of the glorious Himalayan ranges such as Annapurna, Nilgiri, Tilicho, and Bhrikuti. Lo Manthang is popular among tourists because of its pristine, divine, and unspoiled heritage and culture but it was once the Forbidden Kingdom. You will spend the rest of the day exploring this isolated region of Upper Mustang. You will pay a visit to Jampa Monastery which was built in the 15th century. And some other monasteries like Chodey Gompa, Thubchen Gompa, etc. You will get to know a lot about Tibetan culture and the lifestyle of the locals.

Day 09: Drive to Kora La (4612m) – Chhosar

After breakfast in Lo Manthang, you will drive to Kora La Pass located at the elevation of 4612 meters above the sea level connecting the border of Nepal and Tibet. The road track is basically tippy, rugged, and rocky. After a break and lunch in Kora La, you will descend down to Chhosar where you will be exploring the sky caves which have been used for burial, meditation, and for normal living. You will spend your night in Chhosar.

Day 10: Drive to Syanboche (3833m)

Today, you will be heading downwards to Syangboche leaving behind Chhosar after breakfast. You will be passing via Ghami, Tamagaun, and Gheling. En route, you will hike shortly to Chungsi Cave. Giving continuity to your journey, you will drive until you reach Syangboche along with the glittering landscapes.

Day 11: Drive to Marpha (2650m) via Muktinath (3800m)

You will go for a refreshing morning drive to Muktinath, one of the sacred pilgrimages for Hindus and Buddhists. Located at the elevation of 3800m, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Once you reach the premises, you finish your Muktinath Darshan and take some pictures. Interested can take a bath to 180 waterspouts, Pap Kunda and Dharma Kunda. There is a belief that if you take bath there, your sins will be forgiven gaining absolute purification. 

After Muktinath Darshan, you will descend down via pitched road to Kagbeni. The track turns to an off-road from Kagbeni. Passing Jomsom you will continue the drive until you reach beautiful Marpha village along with scenic surroundings. The village is renowned for its apple and the products made from it such as apple wine, apple pies, and dried apples.

Day 12: Drive back to Pokhara

Driving Duration: 9 hours 

Today, you will drive back to Pokhra as the Upper Mustang Jeep Tour ended successfully. Despite the drive is rocky due to graveled, rugged and narrow with many twisting turns, you will be amazed by the breathtaking views of splendid mountains in the backdrop. You will pass through Larjung, Kalopani, Ghasa, and stop at Beni for lunch. The drive will start after lunch making way through Kusma and finally into Pokhara. Once you are in Pokhara, you will check-In and relax and in leisure time, you may go for boating in Fewa Lake.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu

Driving Duration: 6-7 hours 

After breakfast, leaving behind Pokhara city, you will drive back to Kathmandu valley passing through beautiful villages, paddy terraces, enchanting rivers, and magnificent hills. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your respective hotels for overnight. 

Note: You can opt for a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure Day

You will be transferred to the airport for your onward destination by a representative from our company 3 hours prior to your flight schedule.
